What is it?:
Cleavers (Galium Aparine) Liquid Tincture can be used to help enhance the function of the lymphatic system by improving the body's ability to flush out toxins and reduce swelling. This lymph-cleansing action of this herb in turn gives a boost to the overall health & functioning of the immune system (see also Burdock Root Liquid Tincture)... and complementing this is the diuretic action of Cleavers, which helps to flush out waste, toxins, excess fluids, and excess mineral salts from the kidneys.
Cleavers also stimulates bile production (which helps prevent the bile ducts from becoming clogged) and aids other metabolic processes involved with cleansing the liver and improving its function.
Cleavers has a long tradition of use for supporting urinary tract health-- its diuretic properties coupled with its soothing, demulcent action make this herb ideal for calming an inflamed urethra. Regular drinking of Cleavers tea can act as a preventative measure for the incidence of recurring UTI’s. Recent research also suggests the use of cleavers for acute or chronic cystitis with swollen lymph nodes and uterine inflammation.
What is it good for:

What else you might like to know:
It is important to understand that herbs work by restoring balance to the body. This means that you usually have to take an herb or a formula for a longer period of time than you would with pharmaceuticals in order to get results-- usually at least a month, and often times longer than that... it all depends on the individual and the nature of the ailment being addressed.
