What is it?:

Indigo Naturalis is a powder derived from the leaves from several different species of leaves from plants in the woad (Brassicaceae) family. They are soaked overnight and then mixed with natural enzymes. The water from this "soup" is then evaporated away and what is left behind is the blue-black powder known as Indigo Naturalis.

  • Systemic inflammation (generally cooling, soothing, and balancing the body)

  • IBS, Ulcerative Colitis
  • Inflamed gut lining
  • Excess phlegm in the lungs (yellow sputum)
  • Other presentations w/systemic inflammation

This means that you usually have to take an herb or a formula for a longer period of time than you would with pharmaceuticals in order to get results-- usually at least a month, and often times longer than that... it all depends on the individual and the nature of the ailment being addressed.
