What it is:
Processed Black Ginger is made by stir-frying dried ginger until the surface is slightly blackened. The resulting product is bitter, astringent, and warming to the interior of the body and is used in the practice of Chinese Medicine to warm the interior channels and stop uterine bleeding in cases of deficiency and cold.

Suggested usage:
Given its deep, earthy flavor, it is a versatile ingredient used in Asian cuisine (stir-frys, soups, sauces etc...). You could also make a traditional decoction in water by simmer 1 tsp of this herb in 16oz. of water for 20-60 minutes. Cover the pot during this process to retain more of the volatile constiuents in the liquid (for their medicinal effect).
5-10 grams is the suggested dosage, but how much you use will vary on how much warming influence you want to add to your body at any given time...
