What is it?:

Sargassum Seaweed (Hai Zao) Herbal Tincture is seaweed (genus Sargassum) from which the nutrients and other beneficial plant molecules have been carefully extracted to create a liquid tincture that you can mix into water, tea, juice, smoothies, etc... or just squirt directly into your mouth to "use".

The Chinese name for this single herb is Hai zao. Its use has long been associated with addressing goiter, scrofula, both hyper- and hypothyroidism (depending on how it is used), and other palpable masses, cysts, and internal accumulations of phlegm.

What else you might like to know:

While Hai zao will reduce symptoms of phlegm accumulation (masses & cysts etc...), it does NOT address the root causes of their formation. That is addressed through diet and other, different Chinese herbs & formulas.

It is important to understand that Chinese herbs work by restoring balance to the body. This means that you usually have to take an herb or a formula for a longer period of time than you would with pharmaceuticals in order to get results-- usually at least a month, and often times longer than that... it all depends on the individual and the nature of the ailment being addressed.

What is it good for:

  • goiter, scrofula
  • reducing nodules, cysts, and other masses/accumulation of phlegm
  • addressing edema and urinary dysregulation

Traditional Chinese medicine benefits:

  • dissolves phlegm and softens hardness
  • regulates water circulation and reduces swelling
