What is it?:
Shen Ling Bai Zhu Tang (Liquid Tincture) is a Chinese Medicine formula used when there is chronic digestive weakness & abdominal pain coupled with loose stools/watery, relatively odor-free diarrhea. The tonic herbs in this formula help to improve digestive energy and also to "warm the middle" (a reference to a situation in which energy is depleted to the point that the digestive "fire" goes out-- hence the need for warming, tonic herbs); other herbs in this formula drain dampness and astringe the Large Intestine to stop the watery diarrhea that accompanies many chronic digestive syndromes.

This formula is for Spleen Yang deficiency, a condition of digestive weakness in which the digestive fire is severely weakened to the point that the abdomen is actually cool/cold to the touch... another sign of Spleen Yang deficiency is "Cock's crow diarrhea"-- often seen in the elderly, this is a daily urge to defecate between 4am and 8am (w/watery loose stools/diarrhea as output). Furthermore, people with Spleen Yang deficiency will usually experience abdominal pain or bloating that is aggravated by eating cold or raw foods.
It is important to understand that Chinese herbs work by restoring balance to the body. This means that you usually have to take an herb or a formula for a longer period of time than you would with pharmaceuticals in order to get results-- usually at least a month, and often times longer than that... it all depends on the individual and the nature of the ailment being addressed.

Directions for use:
