What else you need to know:

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jujube dates are often paired with fresh ginger to help the body to better absorb nutrients. To do this you would cut up a couple of the dates and mince some fresh ginger, pour just-boiled water over the two ingredients, then cover and steep for at least 10-15 minutes.

Suggested usage:

The standard dosage recommended in TCM to get the medicinal effects is 3 - 10 dates (10-30g), but remember that this "herb" is food, so the "dosage" level is more of a guideline unless you are specifically making a TCM formula...

...You can eat the dates singly, cook them into oatmeal, porridge, or congee--which is a good prep method for folks with very weak digestion that are having trouble keeping enough food down to recover from a weakened state. They are also yummy baked into cakes, cookies, muffins, etc... or you can add them to an herbal tea and steep the dates in hot water (as you would any herb).
